Jelly Monster Review

Jelly Monster Review

Help Jelly Monster slurp up all the ice cream in this adorable puzzle game.

Jelly Monster might not seem like much, but he has an insatiable sweet tooth for ice cream and it's up to you to help him get as much of the frozen stuff as possible in this endearing little game.

Jelly Monster Title

Right off the bat, I was impressed with Jelly Monster. The graphics were polished and pretty freaking adorable. Just look at that cute little red blob, with his one cyclops eye and little tooth!

Once you hit play, you're launched into a quick tutorial, which I appreciated very much. So many of these free online games don't bother providing one and I hate it when you're left to try to figure out how to play on your own.

Jelly Monster Portals

The controls are pretty simple, the yellow buttons move Jelly Monster left and right and the red buttons move him up and down. Keep in mind as you play that gravity works on your little monster, so if you push him off an edge, he will fall.

The beginning stages were fairly simple. Just eat the ice cream and you're done. However, it doesn't take long to get interesting.

Soon, you'll have to collect keys to unlock doors where ice cream is locked away. Portals will transport you to other parts of the board, and you'll need a helmet if you're going to have the face the equally adorable bombs.

Jelly Monster Helmet

The absence of music or sounds was a bit of a let down. I could easily imagine cute little jiggly sounds or noises that are little red monster would make and I think giving him a voice would vastly improve the gaming experience.

Overall, Jelly Monster was an extremely adorable game with high repeat value, polished graphics, and highly entertaining gameplay.
