Kelly Green Garden Queen Review

Move over Farmville, Kelly Green Garden Queen is going to give you a run for your money! This awesome farm game kind of rocks hard core. As some of you may remember, my family owns a farm so I know all about milking cows and getting up early. Did you know that cows weigh a ton? True story, my uncle was milking one once and somehow he got his finger under a cow hoof… smashed the top part of his finger right off. He now has about a quarter of his pinky missing… talk about gross.

Anyhow enough gory farm stories and back to the game… you are Kelly Green, and you realize your city life as a chef just isn't for you, so when you learn you just inherited your grandfather's nursery, you quickly pack your bags and ship out. The nursery specializes in providing organic flowers and herbs to local stores and restaurants. You also have a farm stand where customers stamp their feet and wait for the flowers to grow… ok obviously that part is not realistic. So things are OK at first, but then you get the oh so annoying cow and you call in your brother for reinforcements. So now there are two of you running around trying to get things down. You have to place the pots down, put soil in them, plant the seeds, water, and harvest as quickly as you can. Oh and take care of the cow at the same time. A word of advice… buy the upgrades as soon as possible. They will be an ginormous help to you as your run around trying to get everything done. Especially the bigger water tank. Every time you have to fill your water tank, you have to waste precious moments as it fills up. Later on, you get even more help as you progress though the seasons and have to worry about crows and bugs and such. It can be challenging keeping track of everyone, but the good news is that you can store flowers in your shed so you can fill orders quickly when they come in. Just keep stock piling everything in the shed… they don't seem to die, which is amazing… Wish real farming would be this easy… Oh well… schools going ok. Can't wait till Thanksgiving. I think I might have mentioned that before. From what mom says, it's pretty cold in Jersey… so I guess I'm not missing that. Also… hockey started… so besides the food issue… I'm sailing through the semester… well maybe not sailing… more like rowing… maybe I should play less and study more? Naaaaa….
