The Secrets of Arcelia Island Review

I'd like to register a complaint. My house is not safe. Outside my door there's a hormonal chica on the loose between my room and my PS3. No way am I going out there. There will be crying or moping or sighing and I'll be expected to listen… which I don't do so well… Sorry Anne.

The Secrets of Arcelia Island Walkthrough
I'd like to register a complaint. My house is not safe. Outside my door there's a hormonal chica on the loose between my room and my PS3. No way am I going out there. There will be crying or moping or sighing and I'll be expected to listen… which I don't do so well… Sorry Anne. No problem. I'll just run a battleground on WoW on my computer since Alterac Valley is in call to arms and I could use the extra honor points…. What's this? My realm is down for maintenance… of course it is. This is not my day. Fine. Now that we've all moved in together they've been bugging me to do more reviews anyhow. Looking around the website for games, I picked one that looked like it could hold my attention, The Secrets of Arcelia Island. OK, it doesn't seem too girlie and it looks like it could be cool, kind of like an Indiana Jones flick. It begins with a pretty cool scene on board a boat, and off in the distance you can see some sort of tornado over an island. Your boat crashes into the reef and the next thing you know you wake up and you're shipwrecked on an island and the rest of the crew is missing… ok I'll bite… The first part of the game is just figuring out how to play. It's your typical hidden object adventure game in terms of play style so I caught on pretty quickly and found myself on the shore talking to a man who was apparently my father. I was a little dismayed to find out I was a girl, but they do a good job of immersing you in the game so I just ignored the mention of my dearest daughter here and there when it came up. Apparently years ago an evil witch came and cast a curse on the island using 4 pearls. And now to save the island and my father from this crazy woman (my life seems to be plagued by crazy women lately) I have to find and destroy the pearls. I liked the challenge of figuring out what to do next in this game. Going from place to place was fun and yes… I admit it… I knew my realm was back up and I still continued to play The Secrets of Arcelia Island instead of killing a few Alliance goons. The hidden object parts of the game weren't too challenging, which was just fine with me because my patience for those kind of puzzles isn't too great. Overall, it turned out to be a good time locked up in my room. Why can't Lucy take Anne for... I don't know… ice cream or something… or whatever girls do when they're sad… you know watch chick flicks and tell stories about how all men are pigs… well this little piggy is staying in his room until that mess is done, thank you very much… I wonder if the pizza guy will deliver to a window?
