Kingmaker: Rise to the Throne was such an unexpected delight of a game, it was hard to stop playing in order to do all the things life demands of me. You know... working, eating, sleeping.

So if you're tired of the same old storylines and graphics drenched in purples and blues, then sit yourself down and let me tell you the story of Kingmaker Rise to the Throne. It begins with the usual story of love. A prince falls in love with a common girl and, despite his father opposing the union, the two marry. But the king was so against the marriage, he sent his son off to lead a crusade in order to get him out of the picture while he got rid of his new daughter-in-law by banishing her from the kingdom. Not cool, dad!

But karma came and paid the kind a visit. His son was tragically killed in battle... because that's what happens during a crusade. And his daughter-in-law died giving birth to his only heir.

Now you must take up the role of Edmund Ulmer, a royal knight, who must restore order to the kingdom by finding the one true heir!

Kingmaker Rise to the Throne

Kingmaker: Rise to the Throne is available in both a Standard Edition and a Collector's Edition. The CE includes bonus items to find, an integrated Kingmaker: Rise to the Throne Walkthrough, as well as a bonus chapter of play.

This game is so pretty to look at, the attention to detail is exquisite and the palettes refreshing. The voice acting was tremendous, so much that I didn't mind the amount of dialogue as it only made the story more engaging.

The one fault I found with Kingmaker: Rise to the Throne is that it was a little too short... it was such a great game that I wanted to keep playing and was sad when it was over.
