Virtual Villagers 4 Review

I’m ready for the semester to be over, but I’m trying to decide if I should stay here on the west coast or go home to New Jersey for the summer. Before you even ask, no, I won’t be at the Jersey Shore. There will be no Situations in my life this summer thank you very much. My whole family is back in New Jersey. My mom will be heartbroken if I don’t go home. Sorry to be a downer, on to a happier topic. I finally have time to play games again!!!

Virtual Villagers 4: The Tree of Life Walkthrough
I’m ready for the semester to be over, but I’m trying to decide if I should stay here on the west coast or go home to New Jersey for the summer. Before you even ask, no, I won’t be at the Jersey Shore. There will be no Situations in my life this summer, thank you very much. My whole family is back in New Jersey. My mom will be heartbroken if I don’t go home. Sorry to be a downer, on to a happier topic. I finally have time to play games again!!! So, there was a huge buzz about Virtual Villagers 4, so I had to check it out. I’ve never gotten involved with this series. Virtual Villagers 4 (or VV4 as the cool people call it LOL) is a really cute game. This game reminded me of Survivor, Avatar and The Lion King. First, you have a tribe. I named my tribe “The Morgans.” Then you have The Tree of Life like in Avatar. The menu screen reminds me of the cliff where Rafiki holds Simba. I got so excited about thinking about The Lion King that I just downloaded a Lion King ringtone and set it as my alarm for tomorrow morning. I’m so excited for my alarm to go off in the morning that I may not be able to sleep tonight. Sorry, I’m all scatter brained tonight, Back to the game. I won’t lie, gameplay took some getting used to. I didn’t know how to build my tribe, but I think I picked a good mixture of males, females and children. I’m not sure that the nursing mother was the best choice. She doesn’t work. The controls were a little hard for me at first too. It took me 20 minutes to start a fire! But once I got the hang of it, I started having a lot of fun. Here’s a tip for you, when one of your characters is doing something, say “taking a piece of bone to the fire” let them walk to the fire. Every time, I try to speed things up and drag them there…they drop the piece of bone. I had to imagine that I was living on the island. What would I need if I was stranded on an island? Food, shelter, and water. I started just dragging my people all willy-nilly all over the island. I didn’t realize that if I clicked on puzzles it kind of told me what I should be doing. I really flew through the game after that. It was really cool that the weather changed. It rained (look out for frogs) and got foggy/misty out. Another free tip for you is be on the lookout for collectables when it’s foggy. For some reason, they come out when it’s foggy. I feel bad that I lost one of my guys at sea. He was trying to swim back to shore with a large box he found. He has not been seen since. He will be missed. That’s all for me. Have a good night. I hope to write to you again before another month goes by. Wish me luck on finals and my decision on which coast to live on over the summer. Check back soon for the guide!
